F17 Formwork Plywood 2400x1200x17mm. F17 Formply features high-quality outer veneers making it durable and reusable. Complies to Australian Standard AS6669.
Formply, formwork or hardface is made from a structural plywood coated on both sides with a film veneer. This makes it ideal for repetitive use in wet environments such as for concrete formwork in floors, walls, frames, bridges and other structures. The film coating makes it much more durable and resistant to abrasion than plain uncoated ply. Plus, it's resistant to the alkalinity of concrete meaning it lasts well even with repeated use.
Formply is easily sawn and shaped with everyday tools enabling you to form around difficult areas. It is rigid, stable, lightweight, and easy to install, meaning large areas can be laid without swelling and expansion.
This simple product enables workers to easily build structures on site creating a skeleton for concreting works. It can also be used on timber form frame systems and suits a range of concrete slab thicknesses and tolerances.
Structural timber is graded into categories (stress grades) which depend on the natural characteristics of the tree species such as how dense it is and what kind of grain it has. F17 grade timber is one of the most common stress grades and is ideal for formworking .
This F17 Formply features high quality outer veneers making it durable and reusable. It is produced with certified timber veneers which are glued with resin and overlaid with a hard durable resin-impregnated paper, to give the underlying concrete a smooth finish. F17 Formply complies to Australian Standards, specifically AS6669. Plywood that is to be used in concrete formwork must be made, tested and compliant with this specification. Constructed from F17 grade timber, it has minimal expansion or contractation when exposed to wet weather or fluctuating temperatures making it easier to lay large areas.
No, the phenolic overlay film only slows the rate at which water can penetrate the surface. The sealed plywood edges performs a similar function slowing the uptake of moisture. They can not fully stop the humid or water.
Formply has no predictable reliable load and engineering design values. Film faced plywood can not be used for concrete formwork which require predictable reliable load or engineering design values.
Although concrete formwork is a load-bearing application, formply is a temporary construction. For this reason, there is a separate standard for plywood used in concrete formwork AS 6669.
Glue bond of formwork plywood only needs the ability to withstand both short term static loading and short-term exposure to water and heat so it doesn't have to be structural. Formply standard AS6669 allows the use of A-bond, B-bond, or C-bond glues. B-bond and C-bond formply are not structural.
A-bond formply has a very strict quality management. It is almost impossible to produce a good phenolic bond plywood without good production practice and good factory management.
1. Are you a factory or trading company?
We're a factory who can supply you high quality products with competitive prices, as well as timely delivery and considerable service.
2. What products you can supply?
We can supply commercial plywood, furniture plywood, marine plywood, packing plywood, film faced plywood, melamine faced plywood/MDF/chipboard, LVL and Pine Scaffolding Boards.
3. How can I get a sample?
We offer fress samples but I'm afraid you have to pay for the courier charge, that's a fair business way for both of us.
4. How do you guarantee the quality of the products?
a. We're a SGS certificated plywood manufacturer with 20 years experience and we use the best material for all the products.
b. Our workers are very skilled and they are responsible for their job and products. Professional workers are working for their own production process.
c. All the machines in our factory are the most advanced.
d. Our production manager will strictly control every steps of production.
e. Each piece of board will be carefully checked by our QC before they leave our factory.
f. Also we welcome our clients or their friends to come to our factory to check the quality.
5. What's your payment term?
Commonly we do T/T (30% deposit to confirm the order and start production, 70% balance payment after shipment against copy of B/L), T/T can save much time and money than L/C, but if it is relatively a big amount, we also can accept 100% irrevocable L/C.
6. When you can ship the goods out?
Usually we can make the delivery in 15-20 days after receiving your 30% advance payment, but it may take few more days if we meet holidays, such as Chinese New Year Holidays, so we strongly advise you to place the order in advance and can get the material timely for enough stock.
